Hi all,
As promised here's some photos of my day to day life (for real this time!). I've had a lot of trouble uploading photos to blogger (any advice?? I've tried different browsers) so they may come in different parts. But this picture is the real one of Alli's house. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. I will live here until mid-July and then I will move nearby to a 2 bedroom apartment.
Also, many of you have been asking about a mailing address for me. Perhaps it is because my birthday is coming up and it takes about 2-3 weeks for mail to arrive. :)

I have had lots of briefing meetings on the various roles and responsibilities my new job entails over the past few weeks now that I am settled and Anna is back in town. It's been great learning and asking lots of questions. School gets out at the end of June and we are busily planning for summer education projects for both the Entoto kids (ages 4 - 17) and the Change for Change house (ages 15-18). My current project is coming up with an assessment (Help Anita and Jenn!) to test the kids on what they have actually learned in school so we can accurately group and plan their curriculum for this summer. A trend in public schools here is pure memorization so we will incorporate some critical thinking skills and a lot of practice reading and writing in English. Last week, I also got to have lunch with Pastor Zeb and talk through expectations and visions for the ministries so that was helpful and re-assuring that I am in the right role in the right place.
I've had some minor health concerns but they all happened at once, making them feel major! I am feeling much better but would appreciate your prayers for a full recovery. Nothing out of the ordinary as I adjust to the weather, altitude and food. :)
I'm going to try to post some more pics after this one. Hope it works!
Lisa
I so appreciate all your comments and e-mails. They make me feel connected to you and what is going on in the world.
Praying for you Lisa! God (is already) and will continue to equip you with everything that you need to do His work that He has planned in advance for you to do... AND He has blessed you with a lot of amazing friends to help you get it done! Ridiculously huge hug! Also, I hope you feel 100% better very soon. Use your emergency pack...lol!
